Adam…” Even if she was attempting to steady herself, he could hear the subtle cracks in her voice. “Adam, it’s Molly. I nee’yeh tae call me back. It.. it be important. Love you, Addy.” As she hung up the phone, she looked down at her hands. There were dots of blood up her arms, and she was sure there were more on her face. All she wanted was a shower.

Missed call after missed call -- but he was sitting with Mederos about their current internal problems, and the Director wasn't a fan of his employees taking calls while they were with him. The second he could break away, which wasn't really that long ( minutes in fact ) after Molly left her voice mail, he went to listen to it.
Sure, she'd tried to steady her voice, but this was a voice he knew better than his own. This was a voice he'd heard in happiness, a voice he knew in anger. A voice he knew when tearful, and a voice he knew when terrified. Something had happened, and that something put a variation in her voice that chilled his bones.
Calling over one of the enforcers to give them a message to Mederos that there was an emergency, he was already heading to his Yukon when he rang her back.
Maybe they called at the same time, maybe something had happened to keep her from answering the phone, but he got her voicemail after only a ring or two.
Voicemail:
"Moll? Moll, I need to know where you are. I'm headin' home to find you. Whatever's happenin', you just remember who you are."
And that was his.
